Plymouth/Black Rock fish facility in deplorable condition
Fishermen calling for rehabilitation of Blackrock/Plymouth facility.
The fishermen of the Plymouth/Black Rock, who utilize the Plymouth/Black Rock fish facility, shared concerns over the condition of the structure of their depot. One fisherman shared that a sewer constructed within the vicinity of the facility has been running water that, according to him, is affecting the fish supply. In addition to this, he shared concerns over the safety of the fisherfolk, as he mentioned that they have been falling ill. He said the stagnant water is a breeding ground for mosquitoes, which are frequently present in the building. Fishermen operating within the facility are calling on the authorities to fix these issues.
