Scarborough, Tobago – After hearing and seeing the presentation made by Sandals’ management on Monday, PDP Tobago West candidate Curtis Douglas believes the company is aiming to create its premier hotel investment in Tobago. On the Good Morning Tobago show, Douglas expressed satisfaction that Sandals has changed its approach to investing in Tobago. He noted that the company has learned from its previous attempt and is now optimistic about the future of tourism on the island.
Crucially, this time, Sandals is prepared to fund the hotel’s construction with its own money if it chooses to proceed. Douglas said that the company is also more open to engaging with the people of Tobago throughout the process. He added that it’s now up to the THA to lead discussions with Tobagonians to determine exactly what the people want so that Sandals’ management can adjust their proposals accordingly.
