Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – At her recent International Women’s Day commemoration breakfast, Mrs. Sharon Clark-Rowley, wife of Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley, underscored the critical importance of obtaining gender equality and directly addressing gender-based violence.
Mrs. Clark-Rowley stressed the significance of empowering women who may not be fully aware of their rights and the opportunities available to them. She emphasized that ensuring the safety of women is a collective responsibility, urging both women and men to actively play a role in this vital effort. Additionally, Mrs. Clark-Rowley discussed the crucial role parents have in instilling foundational values of respect and morality in children, laying the groundwork for a more equitable and peaceful society.
