Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – 17.07.2025 – The Ministry of Culture and Community Development, led by Minister Dr. Michelle Benjamin, announced yesterday the appointment of a new Board of Commissioners for the National Carnival Commission (NCC) of Trinidad and Tobago. The incoming board was officially presented with their instruments of appointment during a brief ceremony held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Trinidad.
The newly appointed NCC Board members are:
Minister Benjamin emphasized the Board’s crucial mandate to strategically advance the development and global positioning of Carnival as the nation’s “greatest show on earth.” She highlighted that Carnival is more than just an event; it is a vital expression of creativity, contributing significantly to jobs and community development across the country. The Minister looks forward to the Board’s contributions in delivering an enhanced and inclusive Carnival 2026 experience for all.
