Nationwide Manhunt for Escaped Prisoner Robby Khadoo Continues

July 6, 2026 — A nationwide multi-agency manhunt is intensifying tonight as it enters its third day, with law enforcement agencies tracking 34-year-old murder accused Robby Khadoo, who escaped lawful custody while receiving medical attention at the Arima Health Facility / Arima General Hospital.

Khadoo, whose last known address is Naparima-Mayaro Road, Iere Village, Princes Town, was on remand facing charges of murder, attempted murder, and wounding with intent. Around 7:15 PM on Friday, July 3, while under prison officer guard at the Accident and Emergency Department, Khadoo managed to slip away from custody, triggering an immediate security mobilization. The combined forces of the national security apparatus have expanded their operational grid across northern and south-central Trinidad:

Public Vigilance: Authorities have urged citizens not to approach the escapee and to immediately relay any sightings or confidential tips to 999, 555, 800-TIPS, or the nearest police station.

Deployment of Combined Security Forces: Specialist units from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF), and the Trinidad and Tobago Prison Service (TTPrS) have established roadblocks, executed cordons and searches, and pursued intelligence-led operational leads in Arima, along the East-West Corridor, and throughout southern districts.

Strict Harbouring Warning: The TTPS issued an advisory reminding the public that knowingly harbouring, concealing, providing transport, money, food, clothing, or otherwise assisting an escaped prisoner is a serious criminal offence carrying prosecution and imprisonment under the laws of Trinidad and Tobago.
