Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – The Ministry of Labour is distancing itself from a fraudulent WhatsApp message currently circulating, which falsely claims that individuals who worked between 1990 and 2024 are entitled to withdraw $1,500 from the “Ministry of Labour and Employment.”
The Ministry has clarified that no such initiative exists and underscored that there is no Ministry of Labour and Employment in Trinidad and Tobago, only the Ministry of Labour. This official warning aims to prevent citizens from falling victim to this misleading scam, urging the public to verify information only through official government channels.
