Scarborough, Tobago – August 27, 2024 – Currently, there are 911 cases of dengue nationwide and nine deaths. However, Tobago has not experienced any deaths due to the virus. Secretary for the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, Dr. Faith B.Yisrael, shared symptoms of severe dengue that persons should be on the lookout for. She spoke on Tobago Updates’ Good Morning Tobago Programme.
Dr. B.Yisrael’s comments are aimed at raising public awareness and promoting early detection of the more dangerous form of the virus. Her guidance on identifying severe dengue is crucial for ensuring timely medical intervention and preventing fatalities across the nation.
