Tobago farmers learn how to produce high yields of Papaya.
Scarborough, Tobago – High-yield papaya production training is now underway for Tobago’s farmers. They are participating in a two-day workshop hosted by the MarVista Institute and the Mega Farming Development Programme, an initiative under the Tobago House of Assembly (THA).
This training builds on the success of a farmer who was able to grow papaya from seedling to fully yielding trees within six months, a story we introduced you to five months ago. The workshop, held at the Shaw Park Complex, aims to introduce farmers to the science behind improving papaya production, enhancing crop yields, and boosting the agricultural sector on the island.
