Grants and cheques exceeding $3500 to be encashed at banks.

Public assistance grants and pension cheques exceeding $3500 to be encashed at banks.

The Ministry of Social Development and Family Services announced that Public Assistance Grants and Senior Citizens’ Pension cheques exceeding 3500 dollars could not be encashed at supermarkets, groceries and shops nationwide. This took effect on July 18th 2024.
