Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – Nickocy Phillips, Political Leader of the Unity of the People (UTP), is publicly questioning the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service’s (TTPS) claims of intelligence gathering in their ongoing crime-fighting efforts.

The UTP is calling on the police force to provide an explanation for why officers are not being consistently stationed in communities across the country that are recording high levels of criminal activity. This critique highlights a concern regarding the deployment of resources and the effectiveness of crime prevention strategies in areas most affected by rising crime.
