Tobago Division of T&T.I.O.C. applauds T.H.A. budget and calls on Minister of Finance to allocate more money to Tobago.
Scarborough, Tobago – June 26, 2024 – The Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP) are not in support of the budget presented by Chief Secretary Farley Augustine for fiscal 2025. At a press conference at the party’s headquarters, they stated that it lacks plans to take Tobago’s development forward in a meaningful way and that it deviates from election campaign mandates.
The PDP’s strong critique highlights their concerns about the proposed budget’s effectiveness in driving sustainable growth in Tobago and fulfilling promises made to the electorate. Their comments underscore the ongoing political debate regarding Tobago House of Assembly (THA) financial management and its strategic vision for the island’s future.
