Gender & Child Affairs Signs Mou With Padf to Develop Digital Resources for Children, Focusing on Rights, Protection, and Services.

The Gender and Child Affairs in the Office of the Prime Minister has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) to create digital resources for children in Trinidad and Tobago. The collaboration will focus on three key projects: improving the Childzonett platform, producing animated videos on child rights and protection, and creating an online directory to connect children and families with essential services like healthcare, education, and legal assistance. A press release from the Gender and Child Affairs Unite states that the signing ceremony highlighted the government’s commitment to digitalising child welfare services. PADF expressed its ongoing support for initiatives aimed at child protection, including prevention of child sexual abuse and strengthening local service networks.
