Final Rainbow Cup For Tobago On June 7

The 2025 Rainbow Cup Tobago International Triathlon will mark its final run on Saturday, June 7, at Courland Bay Heritage Park. After two decades, escalating costs of over TTD 200,000 and limited sponsorship have forced founder Jason Gooding to end the Tobago leg of the event. The triathlon, which began with just 35 athletes, grew into a premier international race, serving as Trinidad and Tobago’s only fully vehicle-free event, a CARIFTA qualifier, and the National Standard Distance Championship. Gooding now shifts focus to the Rainbow Cup Grenada, launched in 2024 with stronger support from Grenadian authorities. He described ending the Tobago chapter as emotional but necessary. Interested participants can register for the final event at rainbowcuptobago.com or on Race Roster.
