Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – A comprehensive National Strategic Action Plan on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Sexual Violence (SV) was officially launched on Monday, March 4th, 2024.
Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister and Minister of Gender and Child Affairs, Ayanna Webster-Roy, discussed the critical details of this plan during Mrs. Sharon Clark-Rowley’s commemoration breakfast for International Women’s Day. The action plan outlines a multi-faceted approach to address, prevent, and respond to GBV and SV across Trinidad and Tobago.
This strategic initiative underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing safety and justice for all citizens, with a particular focus on protecting vulnerable populations and fostering a more equitable society.
