Tobago Heritage Festival and Tobago Carnival under review to determine effectiveness and economic viability.
Scarborough, Tobago – The Tobago Heritage Festival and Tobago Carnival are currently being reviewed. The island’s leaders are looking at how successful the events are and how much they help the economy.
This review was announced when the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) appeared before a parliamentary committee. In a separate effort, the THA is also studying whether the unique Tobago language can be developed into a special tourism product. Both projects show that the island is focused on making its culture and economy stronger.
