PNM Tobago Council’s political leader Ancil Dennis has seven days to apologise or face a defamation lawsuit from Secretary of Education, Research and Technology, Zorisha Hackett. A pre-action protocol letter was delivered to Dennis on Tuesday, accusing him of making defamatory statements against Hackett. The letter states that he allegedly claimed she was being irresponsible in ensuring that school fees for tertiary students were paid on time.
