Deliberate Misinterpretations: PM Rowley Responds to Dr. Roodal Moonilal’s Questions on Travel Costs
10 Million spent on 19 trips for Prime Ministerial delegations from 2020 to 2024.
April 19, 2024 – Opposition member Dr. Roodal Moonilal recently questioned the cost of travels made by Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley from 2020 to the present, filing these inquiries as formal questions for the Prime Minister. The Office of the Prime Minister subsequently responded through a written statement, revealing that $10.6 million was spent on 19 official trips by the Prime Minister during that period.
Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley addressed the issue during yesterday’s (April 18, 2024) Post Cabinet Media Briefing. He firmly described Dr. Moonilal’s accusations as “deliberate misinterpretations,” adding his perspective to the ongoing public debate regarding government spending and accountability in Trinidad and Tobago.
