Tobago’s Farmers Learn Techniques To Mitigate The Effects Of Climate
Climate change can be viewed by some people as a far-removed concept discussed by strong environmentalists at world conventions. However, as a small island developing state, Tobago is very vulnerable to rising global temperatures and more extreme weather patterns. These changes are impacting the jobs farmers do and what they are able to produce. Through the Argyle Farmers Association, technocrats from the MarVista Institute for Agriculture, Training, and Development hosted farmers in an all-day workshop at the Shaw Park Complex to understand what methods they can use to make their crops more resilient.
