Changing Attitudes Towards Child Abuse: MP Ayanna Webster-Roy Launches “In the Know” Campaign
Gender and Child Affairs Minister Ayanna Webseter-Roy launches “In the Know” campaign for the month of April to change attitudes against child abuse.
Scarborough, Tobago – April 6, 2024 – “There is absolutely no excuse for any form of child abuse,” is the firm stance taken by Member of Parliament for Tobago East and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister for Gender and Child Affairs, Ayanna Webster-Roy. She explained that while child abuse is destructive to society, it continues due to the mentality of some people.
To actively work towards changing that mentality, the Ministry launched the “In the Know” campaign for Child Abuse Awareness Month. This initiative aims to foster greater understanding and vigilance against child abuse across Trinidad and Tobago, promoting a safer environment for children.
