With just days before Trinidad and Tobago’s general election on April 28th, the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) met with the CARICOM Election Observers Mission to provide insight into its preparations and reinforce transparency. Held at the Courtyard Marriott in Port of Spain, the meeting addressed voter education, staff training, polling station accessibility, and result reporting. Amid political tensions and concerns about impartiality, the EBC reaffirmed its neutrality and commitment to fair elections. CARICOM and Commonwealth observers will remain in the country through April 30th to assess the credibility of the process and issue post-election reports.
