Caribbean Airlines Engages in New Salary Negotiations with Pilots Association

Port of Spain, Trinidad & TobagoCaribbean Airlines says it is actively working towards a fair resolution in ongoing salary negotiations with the Trinidad and Tobago Airline Pilots Association (TTALPA). The discussions focus on additional salary increases for pilots covering the period 2020–2023.

In December 2024, the airline and TTALPA successfully concluded negotiations for the 2015–2020 period, which resulted in a 4% salary increase and $14 million in payments to pilots, on top of a prior 14.5% cumulative increase. With that phase settled, Caribbean Airlines is now reviewing a new proposal from TTALPA and has proposed meeting dates to advance discussions.

The airline says it remains committed to reaching an agreement swiftly while maintaining a positive working relationship with its pilots. As they are legally unable to strike, TTALPA is creatively pushing for the 2020–2023 agreement with the installation of a billboard at Piarco Airport.
