Oil spill-affected fishermen from Lambeau are growing frustrated with the delay in their compensation and are now threatening to vote against Chief Secretary Farley Augustine if they don’t receive it soon. While the International Oil Pollution Compensation Fund is the designated channel for accessing compensation, the fishermen feel the process isn’t working in their favour. They also doubt whether the Chief Secretary is doing enough to advocate on their behalf.
