Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago – A tugboat named “Solo Creed,” believed to be connected to the recent oil spill incident in Tobago, has reportedly been detained by authorities in Angola.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries, after receiving this information, Minister Stuart Young immediately requested that official correspondence be sent. This request was channeled via the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs and the Maritime Services Division of the Ministry of Works and Transport, urging Angolan authorities to verify certain information regarding the vessel. This development is crucial for ongoing investigations into the ownership and origins of the Gulfstream vessel and its associated tug.
