April 15, 2024 – During an opposition press conference held yesterday, Dr. Lackram Bodoe, Member of Parliament for Fyzabad and Shadow Minister of Health, addressed the tragic deaths of seven babies at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the Port-of-Spain General Hospital.
In response to the crisis, Dr. Bodoe called for Terrence Deyalsingh to step down from his position as Minister of Health. His demand underscores the growing public pressure for accountability regarding the tragic infant deaths and the management of the NICU at Port-of-Spain General Hospital within Trinidad and Tobago’s healthcare system.
