June 8, 2024 – The Chemistry, Food and Drugs Division in the Ministry of Health is informing the public of a nationwide recall of two lots of Docetaxel Injection.
The recall was issued by international distributor Sagent Pharmaceuticals due to the potential presence of particulate matter from the drug’s stopper. Docetaxel Injection is a chemotherapy drug used to treat patients with various types of cancers. This voluntary recall is a precautionary measure to ensure patient safety regarding this critical medication in Trinidad and Tobago.
