Scarborough, Tobago – Tobago is seeking to formally adopt the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a core part of its development pathway.
Assemblyman Natisha Charles-Pantin, Secretary of the Division of Food Security, Natural Resources, the Environment & Sustainable Development, recently led a motion in the House aimed at aligning Tobago’s assembly’s legal framework with these crucial global goals. This initiative underscores the island’s commitment to sustainable practices, environmental protection, social equity, and economic prosperity, in line with international benchmarks for sustainable development.
