Bush fire grounds flights

Piarco, Trinidad & Tobago – The Civil Aviation Authority of Trinidad and Tobago confirmed that all flight operations were suspended for half an hour early this morning. The temporary suspension was a necessary measure to ensure the safety of aviation operators and stakeholders.

The cause of the suspension was a bushfire on the outskirts of the Piarco International Airport. The quick action by authorities successfully mitigated the risk, allowing normal operations to resume shortly thereafter.
