Tobago-born actor Winston Duke, known for his role in Marvel’s Black Panther, has officially become a Rwandan citizen, alongside 22 others. His sister, Dr. Cindy Duke, also became a naturalised Rwandan. Duke participated in Rwanda’s annual gorilla naming ceremony, where he named a baby gorilla “Intarumikwa – Resilient Giant.” He praised Rwanda’s gorilla conservation efforts and expressed his pride and gratitude for their work. Additionally, he commended Rwanda’s history and ongoing achievements.
In July, Rwandan President Paul Kagame attended the Caricom Heads of Government summit in Trinidad and Tobago, emphasising the need for stronger ties between Africa and the Caribbean.
