Roxborough, Tobago – June 9, 2024 – The Roxborough Agricultural Unit of the Unemployment Relief Programme (URP) is making significant strides in boosting food production in Tobago. The team has restructured its operations, resulting in a remarkable 100% increase in production at both the Roxborough Estate and Nursery, as well as a plot at the Goldsborough Estate. This expansion includes close to 20,000 plants now in the ground.
The URP Roxborough Unit has become a vital resource for local farmers and residents, offering high-quality seedlings and organic produce. This initiative directly contributes to enhancing food security in Tobago and providing fresh, local produce to the community.
