IDA says Tobago’s autonomy is about partnership, not separation.
Scarborough, Tobago – At a press conference earlier today, Kaye Trotman, Public Relations Officer for the Innovative Democratic Alliance (IDA), emphasized that defining Tobago’s borders is essential for establishing equity in the partnership with Trinidad.
She clarified that Tobago’s call for autonomy is not about separation. Trotman added that clear boundaries would enable Tobago to better control its resources and contribute more equitably to national development, ensuring the island can thrive both politically and economically.
