August 19,2025 – The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a week-long “60 for 60” Customer Appreciation initiative, which kicked off on August 18, 2025.
The event honours 60 loyal customers—ten from each of Trinidad and Tobago’s six regions—and includes hamper distributions and giveaways at customer service centres nationwide. The celebration is themed “Evolution in Action: Forging a Smarter, Sustainable, and Equitable Future – Honouring 60 Years, Redefining the Way Forward.”
WASA is also recognizing the dedication of its workforce with an Employee Recognition Ceremony and a special event for retirees.
Established in 1965 through the Water and Sewerage Act, WASA has grown into the national provider of water and wastewater services. Acting CEO Jeevan Joseph reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to supporting the country’s development with efficient, reliable service.
