U.n.d.p. Works With the National Sargassum Taskforce to Pilot a Sargassum Management Project in Speyside, Tobago & Guayaguayare, Trinidad
Progress is being made on the pilot programme to manage the annual influx of Sargasum seaweed. Funded by the UNDP and the Japanese government, Trinidad and Tobago is one of five countries benefiting from this initiative. Guayaguayare has been selected as the test site in Trinidad, while Speyside has been chosen in Tobago. The Cabinet-appointed National Sargassum Taskforce is working closely with stakeholders to finalise implementation plans
