The Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association (T&TUTA) has complained about being unable to hold regular meetings with the Ministry of Education. Speaking at a Parliamentary Joint Select Committee inquiry today, T&TUTA President Martin Lum Kin stated that many issues within the education system could be addressed through regular meetings, but this is not happening. However, Lum Kin pointed out that the situation in Tobago is slightly different. He said they are able to meet regularly with the Division of Education, Research, and Technology. Lum Kin stated that there are too many unresolved issues in education and called on the authorities to do better.
