A number of T&TEC workers protested outside the company’s main office today citing multiple issues.
October 24, 2024 – Workers of the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) in Tobago held a public demonstration to voice their dissatisfaction with current working conditions. The protest took place at the front entrance of the main office on Post Office Street, where employees sang, chanted, and called for their issues to be addressed. This action was part of a series of nationwide protests by T&TEC workers, who highlighted concerns over stalled salary negotiations, a shortage of vehicles and manpower, and poor-quality equipment.
