Scarborough, Tobago – October 18, 2024 – Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) workers protested this morning, just before the start of their 7:00 AM shift, citing stalled wage negotiations, poor equipment, and a lack of vehicles. They warn that if the situation continues, the electricity supply in Tobago could be affected. The demonstration highlights longstanding issues and a lack of action from T&TEC’s management, which workers say is hindering their ability to perform their duties effectively.
