T&T Bureau of Standards has problems in accessing FOREX to carry out government mandates.
Access to foreign exchange is not just a problem for the business community or citizens wishing to travel but also a challenge for the Trinidad and Tobago Bureau of Standards (TTBS). During a recent appearance before Parliament’s Joint Select Committee, the TTBS reported being unable to fulfil specific government-sanctioned mandates because these sometimes require internationally sourced goods and services that necessitate foreign exchange.
