August 14, 2025 – The Division of Education, Research, and Technology announced that the 2025 School Repair Programme is progressing on schedule. With a budget of $20 million, the initiative, managed by E-IDCOT, is prioritizing the most urgent projects to address health and safety concerns and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of classes. The Division noted that while this year’s budget cannot cover every needed repair, the current strategy ensures schools will be safe and functional for the upcoming academic year.
Of the 45 work packages distributed to contractors for 30 schools, 24 complex projects are already underway, with the remaining 21 more straightforward repairs scheduled to begin by the end of the week. All works are expected to be completed in time for the reopening of schools on September 8, 2025.
