September 3, 2025 -The Tobago branch of the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers’ Association (TTUTA) is demanding answers from the Division of Education over the delayed payment of teachers’ salaries.
In a statement, TTUTA expressed deep concern about the lack of communication from the Division, saying the silence has left educators feeling anxious and frustrated.
With only days remaining before the start of the new school term, the Association is also sounding the alarm over the condition of several schools across Tobago, many of which are still awaiting critical repairs. TTUTA is calling on the relevant authorities to urgently address both the salary and infrastructure issues to ensure a smooth reopening of schools.
