Family, friends, and colleagues gathered in grief and solidarity over the weekend to bid their final farewells to close friends and co-workers Keyon “Sprang” Nimblett and Shakka Rivers, who tragically lost their lives in a horrific vehicular collision along the Claude Noel Highway in late April.
The two Signal Hill natives—described by loved ones as inseparable and “like brothers”—were travelling east toward a construction job site in Pembroke when their vehicle was involved in a fatal crash near Bacolet. Emotional funeral services held across the community brought together relatives, fellow tradesmen from REM Elite construction, and area representatives to celebrate the lives, camaraderie, and community spirit of the two young men.
