Tobago missing CCRIF payouts

Finance secretary Petal-Ann Roberts claims Tobago might have never received 3 previous C.C.R.I.F. payouts for damages caused by natural disasters.

Tobago might be missing out on more than the $2.5 million payout for Hurricane Beryl. According to Secretary of Finance, Trade, and the Economy, Petal-Ann Roberts, a payout was made to Tobago under the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF) for damages caused by Hurricane Beryl. However, she reported during a plenary sitting that Minister of Finance, Colm Imbert stated Tobago would not have access to those funds. Speaking on the Tobago Updates Morning Show, Roberts further alleged that Tobago may not have received previous payments from the CCRIF.
