Tobago Large Band, RBC Redemption Sound Setters has made it into the final round of the Panorama Large Conventional Bands competition scheduled for Saturday 1st March 2025 at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Trinidad. Redemption with the tune of choice “Flag Woman” arranged by Tobagonian Michael Toby, tied with T&TEC Tropical Angel Harps Steel Orchestra for 9th place, and rounded off the top 10 bands that advanced to the finals. But it was Republic Bank Exodus who took the top spot with a score of 277 points. BP Renegades Steel Orchestra, arranged by Tobagonian Duvone Stewart, placed second with 276 points with their tune of choice, “Bet Meh”. Heritage Petroleum Skiffle Steel Orchestra and Phase II Pan Groove tied for fourth place. Nutrien Silver Stars placed fifth, also playing “Too Own Way.” Tobagonians, Kersh Ramsey, and Ojay Richards arranged for this band. Massy Trinidad All Stars Steel Orchestra placed 7th, and Shell Invaders Steel Orchestra placed 8th. Unfortunately, Tobago’s NLCB Buccooneers Steel Orchestra did not make it into the finals.
