PDP leader Watson Duke says that a Tobago Homeland Security Department should be established.
Scarborough, Tobago – Last Friday, Chief Secretary Farley Augustine announced that a Tobago House of Assembly (THA) Police Force would be formed as part of a new Department of Public Safety. However, this proposal is being criticized by the leader of the Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP), Watson Duke.
Duke argues that Augustine cannot effectively manage both his duties as Chief Secretary and the responsibilities of a police force, urging him to focus on one. Duke shared what the PDP would have done, stating he would have formed a Tobago Homeland Security instead. Duke further explained this concept during a press conference he hosted yesterday, outlining his alternative vision for ensuring the island’s safety and security.
