Tobago Divisional Task Force Seizes Drugs and Cash in Lowlands Raid
Lowlands, Tobago – January 2, 2025 – Officers of the Tobago Divisional Task Force conducted a successful raid and search operation between 9:15 AM and 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, in the Shirvan Road Police Station District. The operation targeted a residence at Leeson George Drive, Lowlands, where a 42-year-old self-employed man resides.
With the assistance of the Canine Unit, officers conducted a comprehensive search of the premises. During the operation, officers discovered and seized 330 grams of cannabis, 19 cannabis plants, and a total of $14,874 in Trinidad and Tobago currency along with $80 in U.S. currency. As a result, three individuals were arrested at the location: a 42-year-old self-employed male, a 32-year-old female housewife, and a 72-year-old female pensioner. Investigations are ongoing, underscoring the ongoing efforts by the Tobago Divisional Task Force to combat illicit drug activities in Tobago.
