August 26, 2025 – The Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute (THTI) brought the curtains down on its 2025 Summer Baking Boot Camp with a vibrant closing ceremony on Thursday, August 21, at its Mt. St. George campus.
The event featured an impressive display of baked creations by the camp’s young participants, followed by the presentation of certificates by THTI’s Acting CEO, Mrs. Alana Holder-Findley. Now in its second year, the boot camp has become a signature feature of THTI’s summer programming.
Targeting teenagers aged 13 to 18, the camp offered a hands-on introduction to the fundamentals of baking, food safety, and kitchen confidence. Participants explored everything from basic techniques to creative pastry design, gaining skills that could pave the way for future culinary careers or simply foster lifelong passion.
Sponsored by National Flour Mills Limited, the programme underscores a shared commitment to youth development and the promotion of culinary arts as both a professional and personal asset.
THTI congratulated all participants and reaffirmed its mission to support Tobago’s next generation of culinary talent through engaging, skill-based education.
