The TTPS To Maintain Heightened Security Efforts Despite The SOE Being Lifted

After 15 weeks under an SOE with heightened security measures to crack down on criminal activity across the country, the SOE has not been lifted, but the question that remains is: what’s next? According to ASP Carlton Lee Tang, although the SOE has ended, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) remains committed to working collaboratively with other state agencies to maintain law and order. He noted that during the SOE, the police were able to effectively address several serious crimes. He also assured the public that the TTPS remains dedicated to serving the public, reaffirming that the Police Service will always be there to assist the public.
