For the second time, Tobagonians have a direct opportunity to rate the performance of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) administration. The 2nd Annual CivilNET Survey, which opened on Monday, focuses on the period from December 2022 to December 2023. Rodney Piggott, Chairman of Tobago CivilNET, shared the objectives behind this new initiative.
Piggott explained that the survey serves as a crucial tool for civil society to provide direct feedback to their elected officials, offering opinions on their performance. He also highlighted the survey’s role in encouraging youth engagement in society. In light of past discussions questioning youth involvement, Piggott stressed the need for young Tobagonians to “step up and take the reins.”
The CivilNET survey was made available both online and in printed copies, remaining open until January 20th, 2024. This initiative aims to foster greater civic participation and accountability within Tobago’s governance.
