Scarborough, Tobago – February 23, 2024 – The Environmental Management Agency (EMA) has actively collaborated with various agencies in Tobago to address the ongoing oil spill. As part of these comprehensive efforts, the EMA has established a temporary air monitoring station to continuously track and assess air quality impacts in the affected areas.
The Tobago team is ensuring strict adherence to waste management and environmental protocols throughout the cleanup process. Regular updates are being provided to Minister Pennelope Beckles Robinson regarding the EMA’s vital role in responding to the Tobago Oil Spill. This monitoring is crucial for safeguarding public health and the environment during the recovery phase.
