Scarborough, Tobago – October 9, 2024 – Khalea Alfred has been crowned the 2024 Tobago Junior Calypso Monarch with her winning song, “Steel Pan On We Coat Of Arms.” The competition was held earlier today at the Shaw Park Complex. This victory for Alfred, a Bishop’s High School student, highlights a promising new voice in Tobago’s calypso scene and adds a vibrant musical note to the national debate about the country’s symbols.
