May 23, 2025 – Six opposition senators were sworn in today by the President, Christine Kangaloo, on the advice of the Opposition Leader, Pennelope Beckles-Robinson, in accordance with Section 40 of the Constitution. Foster Cummings, Faris Al-Rawi, Vishnu Dhanpaul, Dr. Amery Browne, Tobagonian, Melanie Roberts-Radgman, and Janelle John-Bates are the new opposition senators.
