Scarborough, Tobago – Allan Stewart, Director of the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA), provided an update on the ongoing salvaging attempts of the Gulfstream vessel, which caused a major oil spill on the island. He assured the public that the process was progressing smoothly.
Stewart made these statements at a Tobago House of Assembly (THA) media briefing held on Monday, detailing the efforts to remove the capsized vessel from the reef near Cove. The successful salvaging of the Gulfstream is a critical phase in the overall oil spill cleanup and environmental recovery for Tobago’s coastline.
