PSA concerned as gov staffs TTRA

P.S.A. condemns Finance Minister’s move to operationalize TT Revenue Authority, urges workers to ignore letters and defend rights.

The Public Services Association (PSA) has condemned Finance Minister Colm Imbert’s decision to operationalize the Trinidad and Tobago  Revenue Authority (TTRA), calling it a “flagrant violation.” PSA President Leroy Baptiste stated that letters were sent to Board of Inland Revenue (BIR) and Customs and Excise Division (CED) staff on June 25, disregarding a Court of Appeal’s limited stay order. On June 11th, the court temporarily halted the TTRA’s operationalization until September 25th, citing administrative ease and justice.
